alangu at SCCON 2026: Three Innovations for Greater Digital Inclusion and Knowledge Transfer

Teaser New

How can digital information reach more people and become easier to understand? And how can an organization’s knowledge be preserved and shared with ease?

At this year’s SCCON, alangu provides answers to these questions. The AI company, which focuses on sign language-based digital communication, is showcasing three new solutions that use AI and digital avatars to promote accessibility, clear communication, and knowledge transfer.

Accessibility: Voice-over complements sign language

The first innovation is designed to benefit both deaf and hearing people. Today, organizations can already use the alangu toolkit to make their website content available in German Sign Language (DGS) via AI-powered digital avatars. From now on, DGS content can also be accompanied by a spoken voice-over. Because content is presented visually and aurally at the same time, it can reach a wider range of user groups.

Clear communication: One piece of content, multiple ways to understand

The second innovation follows the same principle: people have different reading abilities and language skills, and not every administrative text is accessible to everyone. That is why alangu uses AI to adapt content into Plain German and, in the future, Easy German. Multilingual versions are also possible.

What makes the solution special is that information does not have to be read exclusively. Instead, an avatar speaks the information while displaying it simultaneously as subtitles. Users can decide for themselves whether they want to read, listen, or watch. Organizations can activate these features as options within the existing alangu player, enhancing their website without having to redesign it.

Avatar becomes an AI knowledge agent

The third innovation extends the use of avatars to internal knowledge transfer. With the alangu Knowledge Platform, companies and public authorities can store documents, policies, process descriptions, or intranet content as a knowledge base. When employees need information from this knowledge base, they can submit their questions in natural language.

An AI agent then searches exclusively within the approved sources, prepares the relevant information, and an avatar delivers the answer. This is particularly useful wherever valuable know-how is tied to individual employees. It remains accessible and can be shared more easily — for example, in knowledge management, onboarding, or process training.
